waiting for my final day at work (counting down to that - cannot wait to get out of here!!)
waiting to hear about the place we put in an application for on the coast - it was soooooo cute and in the PERFECT location at Peregian - walking distance to the shops and literally 500m or less to the beach. Cross your fingers everyone... it was amazing and would be so good to have... would save a lot of stress to have that place... looking for rentals is horrible.

UPDATE: literally a second after I hit publish on this post I had a phone call here from real estate to confirm I work here... *exciting*
Then a little bit more waiting and I had another phone call:

WE GOT THE PEREGIAN PLACE!!! HURRAH!!!!!!!!!
Such a HUGE relief!

Everyday we tell Skol whats to come: "soon we'll be going for runs on the beach everyday! you'll be able to go swimming, jump in the waves, get all sandy, annoy people on the beach, play with other dogs" all the things he loves to do at the beach...

I hope he understands... :) happy summertime days are coming!

p.s: don't you love the way he has taken over the couch... hehehe king of the bongo bongo

Cheers to moving!

:) Yep - I took the offer, after a bit of negotiation, and we will be moving to the coast!! Its very exciting... I handed in my resignation notice on Friday... that was SUPER exciting... Daydreamed of doing that for so long! I'm working on having my notice shortened (my contract states 4 weeks, but they need me as soon as I can get up there)... I think I may be able to get it down to 3, possibly 2 weeks, but it will depend on whether or not they can find someone to replace me. *cross your fingers*

So yeah, going back to the school - only a different campus... should be good. I'm looking forward to it. At least with the move I'll have something familiar, not a completely new situation (ie. new home, new town, new job)... you know how much of a comfort queen I am... that would probably wig me out.. at least with the comfort of a known job I'll be a bit less stressed.

Hopefully we'll find a sweet little place to rent out - can be a bit tricky to find places up there that are within our budget and pet friendly - but we'll find something.
Also hopefully Mateus' job hunt won't be too hard - if anyone knows of anything going up there let us know... Mateus would be a great worker... and he'll give anything a go!!

So yeah - all very exciting... after months and months of daydreaming - we're actually going to do it... we're actually going to move to the coast!! Hurrah!!!

Word to the wise - do not let dogs eat macadamia nuts!

Skol ate some macadamia nut butter today - bad move. They are toxic for dogs... He's in a lot of pain, poor little thing - can't really walk. We took him to the emergency vet - he's been given some pain relief (something involving opium)... and the little guy has passed out on his bed.

Getting harder to do 'work' at 'work'... because I've finished up everything I had to do already. Well actually, that happened a little while ago, I've just been managing to keep myself entertained here. Thats coming to an end now... back to looking busy, but not being. Not too bad... on good days. But on other days I get far too bored.

I've been contacted by old work - with an offer for a job... up on the coast. Its really confusing me at the moment. I've been looking for work up there - and now they've come up with a not great but not bad offer. I am thinking about it... miss the people over there. Lots of thinking about that now... which doesn't help with the boredom.

On the one hand it would be so good to be able to just hand in resignation and know that I had a job up there and we could move and just get going on this plan that we have been working on. On the other hand, I do still remember why I left that job...

Lots of reading blogs lately. It keeps me entertained.

Here's hoping that soon we will be living somewhere else, working somewhere else, with a bit more time on our hands - or at least a bit of a different atmosphere to spend our time...

Still here... I kinda got busted a bit for not really doing much 'work' at... well... 'work'... heh

So I had to get my act together - and actually do some... ;)

Anyway - I am still around - still posting... just have to reschedule it. Make sure I actually do things around here rather than sit around on blogs or looking for other work or daydreaming etc etc

NZ was fun! I am just getting full movement back now.. haha... seriously brusied my forearms and my bum from all that falling down and getting back up. Another weird thing that was sore were my shins - from trying to turn and stabilise on the board... anyway.. it was fun. I have to write a bit of a summary about that later.

We gave Skol the nickname of 'pussycat' because he is a big sook, and sometimes reminds us of a lion... and basically he's a bit of a wuss .. hehe

But that, ^ that is a REAL pussycat... hahah only in name though, wouldn't want to mess with that one I think. ie. come dinner time you make sure dinner is in his bowl or you'll get it.. hahaha

snow queen!

So we're off to there ^ in a few weeks!!! Where? What? When? How? you ask?

We have just booked a little holiday to Queenstown, New Zealand for 5 days! WOO-HOO!!

Its a snow holiday, and we will be snowboarding (or at least trying to) for 3 days... Should be fun fun fun... Very exciting. I've just been given the low-down on everything to do and get and see in Queenstown by a work mate who goes snowboarding quite often over there. She's given me all the tips... thermals, thick socks, neck warmer, gloves, jacket, goggles, sunscreen.... hehe

Flying on the 27th of July!!

(hope for more snow - they are having a bit of a slow start to the season over there this year...)

I went to the optometrist the other day - and my eyesight is getting worse... bit by bit... the funny thing is my right eye is deteriorating faster.  oO weird...

Anyway, I will need to update my lenses, and I am thinking while I'm at it I'll get a new pair of glasses. I'm liking these sorts of styles lately...

I wrote that last week, and didn't post it... wanted to add a picture, but I will put some photos up on flickr instead.
So we're back... back in business. Well, not so much, but we're back none the less.
I got sick last week too... must be my body rejecting the fact that I have to go to work again... ;) hehe Probably picked it up on the plane, just a cold. Getting better now... but not getting better at this whole get up and go to work. I would very much like to just wake up when I wanted to rather than to an alarm. That was nice... and now that its colder and darker here it would be nice to wake up whenever I felt like it... or at least later... :)
